Our Focus
Why it’s important to:
Talk. Sing. Read. Play.
Every child. Every day.
- You are your child’s first teacher. Your child has a lot to learn during their first year and much of that is learned through their interactions with you. Give them the building blocks they need to be successful.
- The first three years of life are critical window for learning, with rapid brain development occurring that does not occur at any other stage of development over a human lifetime.
- By age 3, a child’s brain grows billions of cells and hundreds of trillions of connections, or synapses between all of these cells (that’s a lot)!
- These connections set the stage for all future learning.
